Sustainability. It’s so hot right now - and for a good reason.

Humanity needs saving, ASAP. We need to be emotionally resilient enough to face the climate emergency head-on and deal with the inevitable and massive changes it brings.

That’s why I don’t just work with ‘sustainability’ brands.

I work with people who help people.

Anything from food & fitness, mental health, and sex & relationships, to employee wellbeing, company culture, and volunteering. All that good stuff contributes towards a healthy and holistic lifestyle and that’s what I live for.

Like you, I care about your customers’ wellbeing. Knowing what your customer needs and wants is pretty much my top priority - because selling an ice cream to the abominable snowman is surprisingly easy if you know your yetis well enough.

I’m not for everyone

I help businesses talk the talk but only if they walk the walk. If you’re a business who wants to use the ‘sustainability’ trend to greenwash your customers into believing they’re doing something good for the planet when they’re not, then keep on walkin’.

My impact

Hello, I’m Charlotte and I suffer from eco-anxiety. You’ve seen me bang on about transparency and honesty all over my site, so it’s only right for me to share with you my shortcomings (and wins) when it comes to sustainability. To quote my gal Greta Thunberg - no one is too small to make a difference. I might be running a one-person business, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have an impact. So have a nose at this to see whether you think we’re a good fit.

In an ideal world I’d be off-grid, living my best life on my own homestead, and joining every single climate crisis protest. But, the truth is, I’ve never joined a single one. I live in a block of flats, that aren’t very well insulated, in central London… and I sometimes side with convenience over the climate by buying some of my groceries from the big bad corporation down the road.

I’m not completely evil, though. Here are some of the things I do do for the planet:

  • Fund environmental projects with Ecologi every month.

  • Use Ecosia to plant trees with every search I do on the web.

  • Bank with Starling who don’t invest in fossil fuels and whose offices are run on renewable energy.

  • Buy the majority of my food and essentials from a zero waste shop.

  • Steer clear from fast fashion and make the most of the clothes I already own.

  • Regularly sign petitions against stuff I don’t agree with - like lifting the fracking ban, or letting companies get away with unethical practices.

  • Try my best to avoid single-use plastic. Sometimes I’m very vigilant and occasionally I’m totally crap - my willpower isn’t always enough to beat my cravings for THIS isn’t bacon.

  • The lights in my living room are powered with solar energy.

  • My Christmas gifts are either homemade, bought second-hand or from a zero-waste shop… or I’m a total grinch and don't get people anything at all.

  • I don’t own a car.

  • I’ve eaten a vegan/plant-based/whatever-you-wanna-call-it diet for the last 6 years.

Here are some things I plan to do when I can:

  • Switch to a greener energy provider.

  • Open a green pension plan.

  • When I absolutely have to, I’ll renew my already second-hand tech with second-hand replacements.

  • Go off-grid.

I’m no angel. But I care a lot. I know I can do better and I’m not alone in that, which is why I work to shine a light on sustainability for people and businesses. If you’re curious about my impact, or if you have any suggestions about how I can live greener, please do let me know!
