What’s the cost?

Every copywriter does this differently. Personally, I like to charge by project just because each piece of work I do varies quite a bit.

For context, the Pro Copywriter’s Annual Survey for 2021 states that the current average day rate for a copywriter in the UK sits at £387, and in London its £436. The amount writers charge varies depending on ability, niche, age, location, experience, etc.

Because every project is unique, I can’t give an exact price for each of the services I provide. Different factors will affect the cost e.g. time frame needed to complete, research required, level of creativity called for, amount of words needed, subject matter, etc.

Here are some examples so you’re not completely surprised when I send you your quote…

  • White papers and reports (approx. 10-15 pages) from £1000

  • Short blog posts and articles (approx. 600 words) from £150

  • Longer blog posts and articles (approx. 1000 words) from £320

  • Handbooks and policies (approx. 10 pages) from £750

  • Short case studies (approx 600 words) from £120

  • Web copy (3 pages) from £500

  • Copy editing starts from £50

Again, those are just example figures. For each client I put loads of thought into how I price every project. I want to make sure my pricing is fair for you and for me - so that you’re getting the value you deserve out of what I create, and I’m getting properly compensated for my time, expertise, and creativity.

The cost of each project will, at the very least, include video/phone calls with me, planning and development, one round of revisions, and one round of tweaks. I’ll also, of course, match your brand tone of voice and jam-pack any content I create with delicious, insightful nuggets.

During our initial chat, I’ll give you a ballpark cost for what you want. Once I’ve had a chance to double and triple check everything discussed in the call, I’ll send you over an official quote by email.
